I think the jury on white Brits being able to sing and play the blues came in a very long time ago and the obvious answer is a resounding yes. There are John Mayall, Savoy Brown and Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac just to name three. Here is another one for you, the Brunning Sunflower Blues Band.My search for additional Peter Green songs led me to this band and I am glad. Peter Green's tracks on this album are on par with what he did with Fleetwood Mac, in other words, they are great tracks. Ex Fleetwood Mac guitarist Danny Kirwin also plays on this album.Bob Brunning was the original bass player for Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and when he stepped aside for John McVie and left Mac, he established the Brunning Sunflower Blues Band with blues pianist, Bob Hall. The liner notes on the album leave much to be desired. There is no documentation on who plays what on each track. The only way to get this information, I assume, is to go back to the original albums that each song came from. The liner notes at least identifies the album these tracks came from.Good music, good blues, good album. I look forward to picking up a couple more albums by these guys.
