Having been a fan of Neil Finn for many years going back to Split Enz, I bought his multi -collaborator album, "The Sun Came Out" by 7 Worlds Collide and was mightily impressed by two songs written by a Don McGlashan who I had never of. Well, I did my research. I found that most of the Mutton Birds' catalog is difficult to find these days. I bought this "best of" album from Amazon on the strength of user reviews, the consensus being that it is truly the best. It is an album of 18 meticulously crafted, gorgeous guitar pop songs. Every song is a gem! Intelligent lyrics and complex yet hummable tunes. This is first -class stuff. I won't go song for song but I will say "While You Sleep" is one of the most achingly beautiful love songs I have ever heard. If you can find "Flock" get it. I promise you won't be disappointed!
