I have my Masters in Organizational Leadership. We often utilized white papers from Harvard Business Review. While I purchase relevant business books and utilize online content, I also like to keep up with the business world through the eyes of HBR contributors. Wanting to share my admiration of this type of material with my husband as he navigates the managerial world, I often point him in the direction of Harvard Business Review. I bought him this boxed set as a great way to become more familiar with the offerings from HBR, and to be able to add to his education and apply it in real time scenarios. The books have several thought pieces, written in a concise manner. The information can be read in chunks, out of order, and at ones whim without feeling like they will lose the gist if they put it down for awhile. Great for someone who is busy, who may not be much of a reader (yet still wants to learn), or simply wants to keep fresh in business thinking. I figure if my husband likes these books and finds benefit from them, then I will continue to add to the collection. Though I may do so anyway for my own edification. These are also excellent as jumping off points for further study. You will learn names, ideas, and resources that are relevant to what you want to delve deeper into.
